Our team is very pleased to serve the Leland, Wilmington and north Brunswick County areas. Your pet is family and we take pride in getting to know all of our patients—so why not take the time to learn about us, too!

Dr. David Beauchamp

A graduate of NC State with a BS in Zoology in 1981 and a DVM in 1985, Dr. Beauchamp has owned Leland Veterinary Hospital since 1991.  Dr. Beauchamp has wanted to be a veterinarian since he was nine years old.  He has served as President of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, and chairman of the American Veterinary Medical Association Judicial Council.  In his off time, he enjoys taking naps with his cats.

Dr. Collier joined our staff September 1, 2007. She is a 2003 graduate of North Carolina State. Her special interests are internal medicine and preventive health. She also enjoys ophthalmology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.

Dr. David Brazik

Dr. Brazik graduated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and then joined our staff. He has two children and his wife is a local horse veterinarian. Dr. Brazik enjoys kayaking and fishing with his children. He has a special interest in companion animal nutrition and preventive care. He recently moved to a farm where his family cares for three dogs, six cats, and a number of horses, chickens, and fish.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Dr. Nogueira graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.  She moved to North Carolina to get back to the east coast, and joined our practice in February 2016. Her interests include clinical pathology, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. When not at work she enjoys playing flute in a local wind band, going to the beach, and hiking with her two dogs.

Dr. Alexia Nogueira

Michelle joined our staff in May, 2015.  She is a licensed veterinary technician who graduated from Penn Foster College.  Her lifelong love for animals pushed her to enter the veterinary field in 2004 so she could help others care for their pets.  She shares her home with her daughter and three cats.

Dani graduated from Cape Fear's Veterinary Medical Technician Program with an Associate's Degree in Science in May 2019. After 10 years in the human medical field, Dani realized her passion for helping animals. Dani enjoys spending time with her husband, three rescue dogs, and her new kitten. When she has time off. she enjoys watching movies from the 90's.

Jenae is a Registered Veterinary Technician who joined the LVH team in September 2019. She was part of the first graduating class of Veterinary Medical Technology at Cape Fear Community college. She is a self-proclaimed cat lady with a soft spot for calicos and torties. In her downtime, she enjoys listening to music, reading and spending time with her family.

Brook is a veterinary assistant here at LVH who us currently studying biology and anthropology at UNC Wilmington. After school, she is determined to achieve her master's in animal science and aspires to earn her doctorate by attending veterinary school in years to come. On her days off you can find her and her husky, Bentley, either playing at the beach or relaxing at their favorite coffee shop.

Candi joined our staff in March, 2002. Candi works full-time as one of our receptionists and assistant. She enjoys family time and pets. She likes to fish and ride four-wheelers and bikes. When she is off from work, she spends time with her three dogs and a cat in addition to her son and husband.

Christina McCauley

A native of Wilmington, NC, Chrissy has been our groomer since 2006. She enjoys concerts, gardening, going to museums, and traveling. Chrissy is especially gifted in hand scissoring grooming which adds a special touch to every pet she grooms. The highlight of her after work day is to take walks with her boxer, Ellie Mae.

Danielle's job is to do the deep cleaning here at LVH. She is currently enrolled at Brunswick Community College and is finishing up her Associate in Science degree. In the future, she plans to become a Veterinary Technician. During her free time, she spends time with her family and friends, but her favorite is being outside with her family and dog, Woodrow.

Dominique has worked as an assistant/receptionist here at LVH since February 2019. When Dom is not working you can find her behind her camera, with family/friends or spending time with her boyfriend. She is a lover of the outdoors, sports and the couch. She is a proud fur mama to her pig, Smalls, cat Charlie, and 2 dogs Hank and Charity.

Heidi has worked as a veterinary assistant at LVH since March 2016. She is originally from Wilmington, North Carolina. She graduated from UNC Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in December 2019. She plans to get her masters in clinical research. She enjoys boating and other outdoor activities with her two rescue hounds, Texas & Honcho.

Hope is the senior receptionist at Leland Veterinary Hospital and has been a member of our staff since 2000. She enjoys horseback riding, four-wheeling, and family time. She has three dogs, two cats, and two horses. When not in the office, Hope enjoys spending time with her four-legged children.

Lillian has been a part of the LVH family since she was a child. She officially joined the LVH team in 2018 as an assistant. Lillian is studying cosmetology at The College of Wilmington. In her free time, Lillian enjoys hanging out with friends or loving on her sweet pup Ruger.

Mollie has been a veterinary assistant at Leland Vet Hospital since May of 2017. She shares her home with her husband, Danny, and her six pets. Her passions are snuggling with her bunny, Reggie, and loving on her sweet cats, Cosmo, Ivy, Leo, Butters, and Pickles. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Scient in Biology at UNC Wilmington. Nothing makes her happier than helping patients and making a positive difference in the world of veterinary medicine.

Rachel has worked as a veterinary assistant at LVH since December 2018. She is from Shelby, North Carolina. She graduated from UNC Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in May 2019. She plans to apply to veterinary school to become a small animal veterinarian. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Steely, and visiting coffee shops with her boyfriend, Joe.

Rachel Carpenter

Veterinary Assistant

Vicky joined our team in the fall of 2017 and will be graduating from San Juan College with an Associate of Applied Science in May 2020. She enjoys traveling, kayaking, and spending time with her beloved pets and husband. She has three dogs named Toby, Titan and Sitka, and two cates names Thor and Waffles. Vicky has always known her true calling was to help save animals who can't speak for themselves. Her passion is emergency medicine and critical care.
